Full Description
The automatic hand sanitizer is a device that is mounted to a door that will automatically sanitize the handle after a period of time after it is used. The device is controlled by a reliable Arduino Uno microcontroller powered by a common 9v battery. It also uses a ping sensor that emits an ultrasonic pulse and measures the time required for the echo to return to determine the distance of objects in front of it. It then triggers a relay to engage a second 9v battery to turn on a powerful pump. This pump pulls from a refillable 16oz reservoir of 80% alcohol hand sanitizer. The kit also comes with a configurable nozzle setup with multiple adjustable 180 degree flat fan spray nozzles and a inline ball valve to regulate volume of sanitizer. All housed in a robust plastic housing that boasts a clean modern design that will fit right in with todays commercial and residential door designs. Since it uses liquid hand sanitizer, the automatic hand sanitizer is an environmentally friendly alternative to aerosol hand sanitizer dispensers such as AirWick.
